The Colour Polka Dot! Review!

 

Today I have a review for all of you from a shop on Etsy by the name of The Colour Polka Dot. This shop owner sent me a few different things to review. I am super excited to share all of them with you today.

 

 

The first item that was sent to me to review is this adorable Kawaii cookie that is made out of polymer clay. This cookie looks just like an Oreo and its so cute! I love how its small too. I think this is probably one of the cutest things I have seen made out of clay. She really did an amazing job with this piece. She sells these on her shop in a variety of colors as well, which is pretty cool.

On the back of this Oreo cookie she placed a small circular magnet which was a great idea. You can stick this guy anywhere and it would look soo cute! I am a huge fan of this, and as soon as I opened it I placed in on my fridge right away. I always get compliments from my friends about how adorable this cookie is. The magnet that she placed on the back of this is a pretty good magnet that can surprisingly hold a lot which is awesome.

 

Next up we have one of these headphone charm. I wasn't able to find this exact listing but I will include some of the same kind of products linked below. She does make a pretty good variety of these. The one that she sent me looks like an M&M. I now notice that you cant really tell in the picture that it is an M&M but I can assure you that it is lol. It has a small M on the front and it looks identical to one.

If you have no idea what a headphone jack charm is I will explain. Pretty much it is a a decoration that you can place inside the headphone jack to give your phone some extra decoration. I would say I am a fan of these because they can add a lot to your phone. I do have to admit that this is my first time trying one out and I am a fan. I do have to say that not only is this used for just décor, but I think this could double as some extra protection for you phone. By having this in your headphone jack you are now safe from getting anything inside the headphone jack which is pretty cool!

 

 

The last item I have to review for all of you is this bow. As all of you guys know bows are my favorite so I was really excited to see this little guy inside the package :) I'm not sure what the name of this print is but I really like it. It's not too crazy and its not too plain either. I think this bow would be perfect for pretty much ay outfit really. I like how she chose this one for me! I also like how big this bow is. Im sure you cant really tell from the picture but this bow is pretty long in size. I don't have any bows this big so I'm excited to try this one out. In her shop she modeled this one by having a big bun in her hair and placing this bow under the bun and it was perfect! I think that will be wearing this bow!

I love how the clip placed on the back is a simple alligator clip which is my favorite! This bow was made beautifully and I'm super thankful that I will be able to add this to my bow collection!

 

I am super impressed with these products. It's not everyday that I'm given the chance to review some unique products like these. I am super honored to be chosen to do so. I received an awesome keycahin from a shop on Etsy by the name of Justkeepinspiringme

 

 

She sent me an adorable Ariel keychain. This keychain was made out of polymer clay, and was really well made. I love all the small details in this keychain. When I was browsing through etsy I was looking for polymer clay Disney stuff and these automatically caught my eye, yes there are tons on etsy but these are different. These key chains have backgrounds which is really awesome. Most of the keychain that I was looking at were 3D figures of the actual characters, I love how these ones are so unique. You can just see the amount of time she put into making these, I'm a huge fan of these by far!

How'd you come up with the name of your shop: my mother in law bounced some ideas with me for sometime to help me come up with the name.

How long has your shop been open: I started selling at conventions about a year before I opened my etsy so I guess you could say I started in early 2013

What gave you the idea about opening an etsy shop: My mother was the one who pushed me to open my etsy I sell items better at Comic Con and other conventions but etsy is a nice place to host my shop.

Is this a hobby of your or do you do this full time?: Currently this is what i'm doing full time

What kind of items do you sell in your shop: I sell a variety of different thing. I make statues, charms, pillows, picture holder and now dice bags. I mostly sell my charms and statues but every now and them I feel inspired to make something new.

Your favorite item that you sell: My new Fox statues have to be my favorite item in my shop.

Something you want to happen to your shop in the future: I would love to get to the post I could actually live off my crafting maybe even have a small store front someplace.

Do you have any plans for your shop products in the future: I just restocked my craft supplies so I plan to work on some new item.

If so what: I post updates often on my Facebook and instagram about what I'm working on.

What is something you want your future customers to know about your shop: I try to offer coupon codes, give aways,  and free gifts whenever possible. I don't use mold for my clay crafts so everything I make is one of a kind.

 My favorite item in this shop was really hard to pick, she has so many great pieces that are really well made and it was hard to pick, but I had to go with the My Little Pony figures. These are so cute and adorable, the amount of details in these are incredible. I love the way she made the eyes on these.

I got a few different items from a shop on etsy by the name of NgocMinh on Etsy!

The first item that I received is a phone charm. This is one of those things you put into your headphone jack and it's a little dangle charm. In general I'm not a huge fan of these because I think there a little obnoxious and they always get in the way lol. I really like this one it's super adorable and really soft! I'm not even going to lie I'm not really sure what animal this is. It's either a cat or a bear but I'm pretty sure that it's a cat. Anyways I really like this and I'm for sure going to be using it later on :)

This next item could be classified as 2 different items in my opinion, it could be used as a small pillow or just a plushie. Anyways this is hand sewed and was done really well! I'm a fan of the colors that were chosen for this and I really like it. I think it's simple and really cute, this would match a lot of décor and would look fabulous!

The next item is a hand made Snow White charm made out of polymer clay! This piece is phenomenal I'm blown away by how well this is made. This piece is made out of polymer clay and it's absolutely adorable. The details are incredible in this. She attached this to a bracelet :)

I had a chance to interview the shop owner of RenRenReserve. She's super friendly and I wanted to share her shop with you!

How'd you come up with the name of your shop: Honestly I used my nick name and tried to find another ''R'' word to go with it.

How long has your shop been open: About a month.

What gave you the idea about opening an etsy shop: I always liked making jewelry and polymer clay charms, It just started to get expensive to do since I am in college. I realized I could possibly get a small income from it if I tried to sell my things, so I did. My husband is in the Army so he isn't home too terribly much, I have a lot of free time to make items and list them , especially since school is out for a few weeks.

Is this a hobby of yours or do you do this full time?: This is my hobby, I also have a part time job, trying to get my bachelor's in Chemistry, while minoring in biology. I don't have time for a full time job and refuse to let my husband be the only one paying bills.
