Lip Monthly! Subscription Review

 

This review for today is going to be all about another Monthly Subscription Service. The one I will be discussing with all of you today is called Lip Monthly and this is a company I have worked with before in the past. Incase you missed the past review about this subscription service allow me to explain how it works for only ($12.95) you will receive 4-5 full sizes lip products in a makeup bag that is valued to be between $35-$55 which is crazy! They also have deals on their webpage if your interested in subscribing for a few months you can get a cheaper rate which is awesome. I think lip products are my favorite beauty products and I use them daily so really I can never have enough of them and I am such a huge fan of trying new stuff out too so this is perfect for me!

 

 

Each month inside your bag there will be a card that looks similar to this one that will list all the products that came inside your bag along with a price for the value of each product you received as well. I always check with this back at the end because I really like being surprised to see what's in my bag each month. So let's take a peek and see what I got!

 

 

The first product is a lip-gloss and this is by the brand Camilla which is brand I have never heard of before this product retails for $14 so just right here you already have your bag paid for just by the first product!

 

As you can see this a gorgeous color. This is probably my favorite color, as far as lip products go. I also tend to wear colors that are really similar to this one. I am super excited to try this one out and tell you all what I think about it. This gloss smelt amazing. It smelt just like fruits and it did smell pretty delicious to be honest lol.

 

Next up we have another product by the same brand which is Camilla. This product is a lipstick and this one retails for $14 as well. I must say I am a fan on how both of these products come inside little boxes. It makes it look a lot nicer.

 

This is the same color as the lip-gloss and it is gorgeous! I am really loving this color. I am really excited to see what this color is going to look like on. I must say the packaging for this lipstick is pretty nice as well. I love the chrome accents on the tube. It adds a lot to this product.

 

Next we have a product by the brand Cargo, this is another brand I have never heard of before but I am excited to try it out and see how I like this product. I love the packaging for this one. It comes in a small tin which is adorable. This product retails for $10

 

 

Well this product caught me completely off gaud. I was expecting a lip balm to be inside but nope they decided to switch it up a little. This a blush and bronzer in a duo. I love how tiny this product it. this makes it perfect for travel or even for just putting it in your purse.

 

The last product in my bag for this month is by the brand Ecolips, this is their ecotints lip balm and the one that I received is in sugar plum. This product retails for $3.49

 

 

As you can see this product looks a little different then your average lip balm. I love the shape of this product as you can see its not round like most lip balms are. I would say this is a little on the oval side. I must say this makes it a lot easier in applying sense your lips are more like this shape, compared to round. I thought this product smelt amazing, it really has a nice mint scent to it.

 

I decided to include some swatches for you all you can see what the lip products look like once they are applied to the skin.

 

The first swatch is the gloss, as you can see this is the most pigmented product that I got. This was just with one swatch of the wand on my hand. I was quite shocked to see how well this showed up.

 

In the middle is the lipstick which you can see is pretty as well. I would say this is a lipstick you could easily build up if you want a more dramatic look or you can just leave it like this for more of an everyday look.

 

The last swatch is the lip balm. As you can see this is a darker color. I would say this is a good tint to your lips and would be perfect if you don't really want to wear much. I was kind surprised to see that this product had some color to it. For some reason I was expecting it to go on clear, but this just makes it better lol.

 

As you can see I really got my money's worth in this months bag. I am highly impressed with this bag and I love all the products that I received this month.

Birchbox Subscription Box! Review

 

 

Birchbox has always been one of my favorite subscription services out there. I was been subscribed to them for almost one year now and each month I usually get pretty good products. Birchbox is a beauty subscription that only costs $10 a month and each month you will get a box filled with some amazing products. Today we will be having a look at what's inside my March 2016 box.

Each month the boxes are also decorated differently. It looks like the theme this month is pastel colors. This really screams Spring to me and I love the gold accents on this box. The color scheme is super pretty.

 

Here is a list of all the products I will be getting this month. I try each month to avoid looking at the card, because I love being surprised with my box....so let's ignore this for now lol.

 

The first item in my box this month is by Wilma Schumann which is brand I have never heard of before to be honest with you. This is a European skin care company. This product is a hydrating collagen eye pad. I have never tried a product like this before and I'm actually quite excited to try these out. This product claims to hydrate the skin around your eyes, and also pump the skin up as well to give you a bright and youthful look. This isn't a product I would ever buy myself so it's nice to see this inside my box. I will definitely be trying this product out asap.

 

The next product is by one of my favorite brands and that is Smashbox. I have tried a lot of products by the brand. A lot of which have come from my previous BirchBoxes in the past. I usually am a huge fan of all of their products. This is one of their new products which is their photo finish primer oil. I am beyond obsessed with primer. The fact that this one is an oil gets me immediately excited because I feel like this is going to be super hydrating for my dry skin, which will be great for me. This product seems like another hit with me.

 

The next thing included in my box this month is by the brand L'eau de Mare, this is a brand I have never heard of before. This is a hydrating shampoo. I must admit getting one of these in my boxes is something I am not really a huge fan of. I am kind of picky when it comes to my shampoo and conditioner. I have certain products that I use because I know what works best in my hair. I will however be trying this. It will come in handy for travel, and for a sample size this is a pretty good size compared to a foil packet which I hate!

 

Next we have something totally upsetting lol. We have the matching conditioner which is in a foil packet. I use way more conditioner then I do shampoo so I'm not even sure I will be able to get one full use out of this product. I will give this product a shot though. Who knows maybe this will be the best hair product I have ever tried.

 

Up next we have a product by the Balm, which is another one of my favorite brands too. I have discovered them from BirchBox as well and I love all of their lip products. The product that was included in my box this month is called stainiac, which is a lip stain. I love lip stains in gernal. I'm just going to assume that I will love this product. When I swatched this product on my hand it wasn't that dark, which is a good thing. I think this color will be buildable which is nice if you don't want to have a bold lip you will still be able to wear this product.

 

The last product that was included in my box this month is by the brand Living Proof. I would say I'm pretty familiar with this brand. I have tried a few products by them and I believe I have liked most of them. This product is called fresh cut split end mender. This definitely sounds like a product I will be using sense I have so many dead ends. I am always about  trying out new products so this product is a hit for me. This is product I would totally buy myself so I really hope this product ends up working out for me.

 

That's it for this months BirchBox. I have to say this was a pretty good box this month. I think the only product I am really not that happy with would have to be the conditioner in the foil packet. Other then that all the products seem pretty great and they are all something I would totally use which is great.

Ipsy Subscription! Review

 

Today I will be showing you all what came inside my March 1016 Ipsy bag. For those of you that are not familiar with this brand I will explain it for you. It is a monthly subscription service that is only $10 a month. Each month you receive makeup products inside of a makeup bag. I have been getting this subscription service for almost a year now and I just love it! I will make sure to leave links to all my previous bags below. So lets get inside the bag and see whats waiting!

 

Each month, the bag will come with a card that will tell you the theme for the bag. It looks like this months theme is Spring which is super exciting I cant believe it's almost here!

 

Here's the bag for this month as well. It is coral and blue with swirls that look like flowers. I have to be honest I'm not to crazy about this bag. I mean it's okay but it isn't my favorite from previous bags. I think the one thing I do really like about this bag is the size of the bag lol. This is probably the biggest bag I have gotten from them before so this is making me really excited to see what's inside of this bag. So lets take a look!

 

Wow look at all the products that were in this bag. It looks like this month I received 5 products. I am amazed with the size of each one. I cant believe all of the products fit inside my bag this month. Let's take a closer look at the products that were included for the month of March in my Ipsy bag!

 

First up we have a product by Living Proof. I must say I love this brand I have tried several products from them and have loved pretty much every single product I have tried. This is called Perfect Hair Day which is a dry shampoo. I love love love love dry shampoo so I will definitely be trying out this product and that is for sure! Dry shampoo's are perfect for people like me. I don't wash my hair everyday, so the days where I don't wash it I use a dry shampoo and that usually does the job for me. I am super excited to try this out and I love the fact that this is mini size so I can just throw this in my purse and then I am good to go!

 

Next we have a product from Aphrodite. This is a brand I have never heard of before. This product is an eye cream. My thought on this are so so. I never really use products like this one. I wouldn't say I am excited to see this in my bag, but I will say that I will atleast try this product and see if I like it. Who knows I might just happen to love it anyways. This is an anti ageing and hydrating eye cream. The product claims to firm and tone your skin as well, which is always a plus for me lol.

Next we have a product by the brand Model Co it is a lip lacquer. I have never heard of this brand either. I must say lip products are my favorite so I am excited this was included. I love the color of this product as well. It's a darker nude color. I don't really have anything in a color like this so I'm curious to see if I will like it or not. I know this color is really popular right now so I'm curious to see if I will like it or not.

 

 

Me Me Me is the brand of the next product. This is a fluffy brush. I love finding brushes in these subscriptions because you can truly never have too many brushes. Or can you? Lol I have so many it should probably be illegal. This will be added to my collection. I will definitely be trying this brush out though. I like this type of brush because it could be used for a wide variety of things, such as blush, contouring, and all over face powder. This is staple to anyone's brush collection and it's truly a must have!

 

The last product is by the brand Illamasqua, and this product is a liquid liner. I have to be 100% honest before I opened up my Ipsy bag I went to Target to get a new eyeliner, and wouldn't you believe I totally forgot to pick one up. Lol It was the whole reason I went to Target! Lol but have no fear I got one in my Ipsy bag. That totally worked out for the best lol.

 

 

I typically only use liquid liners that are felt tip but this is something new for me and I am excited to try it out. I will for sure be using this product and I'm curious to see if I end up like this better then felt tip eye liner pens.

 

 

As you can see I received so many amazing products in my ipsy I am highly impressed with my bag this month. I really think this is probably one of the best ones I have had in a long time. My favorite thing about Ipsy subscriptions is that there so inexpensive. For only $10 a month you will get a bag filled with amazing products. It's such a steal really.

BeautiControl Review! By Anja Grissom

 

I have an exciting blog post for all of you today from a company by the name of BeautiControl. This is another one of those independent consultant companies. I discovered this company through google to be honest with you all. I have never tried out any of these products before, or I have never heard anything about any of these before. Anja was super nice and sent me three different products to try out for myself and share them with all of you. I am so excited to start this review today and share my 100% honest experience with all of you on these products. Anja sent me two different makeup remover products along with a mascara to try out! So lets get on with this review!

 

 

The very first product I have to share with you all today is a product by the brand name Skinlogics. This is a brand name I have never heard of and I am such a huge fan of trying new brands out so this is super exciting for me. This product is an eye makeup remover, which is a product you can never really have enough of lol. The next part of this review I am going to include the description of this product that's on the website:

I have to say my experience with this product I am super impressed with it. I have tried a wide range of products similar to this and have had a hard time finding something that I really like. There are many things that I did enjoy about this product and I will now share those reasons with you now :)

 

1. I love how gentle this product is around my eyes, it didn't burn or irritate my eyes at all.

2. I love the scent of this product, it smells very clean.

3. I love how this product is oil free! It makes your skin feel really clean afterwards.

The next product I have is again another type of makeup remover product. This one is a little different however. This is by the brand BeautiControl and this is their makeup remover wipes. I will now insert the description of this product from their webpage:

I love this product! I cant even begin to tell you how many different brands of these I have tried in the past its a little ridiculous lol. I have to my search is finally over! These are perfect if your in a hurry to take your makeup off. By using one of these you will literally get ever bit of your makeup off including mascara! Most of the times when trying these out before it would normally leave a little bit of my makeup, but these didn't at all. These wipes are very wet too which is another reason I really like them. I think the packaging is super nice and it really is secured once you reseal it which is important so your product doesn't dry out. I think this is one life changing product and I suggest you checking it out for yourself.

The last product I have to review from this company is BeautiControl's dramatic lash mascara. I love mascara and I am all about trying some new ones out as well. I will insert the description of this product now:

I decided to include a picture of the brush so you can see what it really looks like. As you can see this brush isn't very big. It does an amazing job at coating your lashes though and that's for sure. The application for this product is one of the best I have found. There were no clumps in my lashes after using this product which is really important to me with my mascara. I do have to be 100% honest and say that the name of this product doesn't really apply in my opinion. I didn't think this gave me dramatic lashes at all. This isn't a bad thing don't get me wrong. I really did love this mascara, this is something that would be perfect if you decided to go for a more natural look, this does make your lashes look really pretty I just wouldn't say that it would be considered to be "dramatic"

Star Soaps by Ivana! Review!

Today I have a review for you all on an online shop on Etsy! This store is called Star Soaps by Ivana.

The shop owner Ivana, is super friendly and super talented as well. Her shop is packed with all kinds of different products. All of these products look amazing to me! She makes soaps, lotions, scrubs, lip-balms and so much more. All of her products are super unique and I just love her style. She has so many products and I'm sure you will find the perfect product for yourself.  She sent me three products to try out and I am excited to share them all with you!

The first product is a lip-balm. I am so excited that she included one of these because I am a huge lipbalm fan in general and I can never have enough of these to be honest with you lol. The scent she sent me is cookies, which just by the name alone I knew I was going to love this product. I am a huge fan of sweet/food scented things so this was amazing to me. Don't worry if cookie isn't your scent she has 9 others to choose from such as caramel, french vanilla, mango & papaya, banana, lemon, sweet tangerine, orange, mint, bubble gum, chamomile, and coffee.

I must say one of my favorite things about this product is that the ingredients are listed on the side on the label. There will be no surprises with this product, you know everything that is inside which is nice. Especially if you have any type of allergies this will be perfect for you! The only ingredients that are in the product are beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, shea butter and cookie flavor!

 

I must say that the packaging for this product is pretty perfect as well. This looks like a product you would buy at the store. It easily rolls up and back down. It's super easy to use. As far as the actual product goes, I love it! It smells amazing, tastes amazing (which is important lol). I love the way this product glides on my lips. It's not super greasy or drying either. I think this is the perfect lip balm. It really moisturizes my lips and makes them feel amazing. I have been using this product like crazy! I am in love with this. I can only imagine how amazing the other scents of this product are.

The next product I have up to review for you all is an adorable hand made bar of soap. I love this one for many reasons. I mean just look at it this bar of soap is absolutely adorable. I love how this is a heart, and I also love the colors that she chose for this one as well.

As you can see from this picture there is actually a smaller white heart in the center of this bar of soap which is pretty cool. I love unique looking soap and this certainly is unique to say the least. I used this bar of soap in my bathroom around Valentines Day and I received several compliments from my quests who were over. Everyone thought it was adorable. It really added a small but simple décor piece to my bathroom. As far as scent goes this came to me in the scent strawberry which smelled amazing and sweet! I loved this and thought this was perfect for the bathroom. It made your hands feels really good and also made them smell great as well.

 

 The last item I have to review for you all is another bar of soap. This one is a little different then the previous one. This bar of soap is in the scent Cinnamon, which smells so good its not even funny lol. This soap smells so good I was tempted to eat it (which I don't recommend doing lol). I love the details in this one as well. It really looks like a cinnamon swirl. This soap in my opinion looks just like the Cinamon toast crunch cereal and it smells just like it too! This was pretty powerful in it's scent too! I thought the scent lasted quite a while and I was impressed.
