Birchbox Subscription Box! Review

 

 

Birchbox has always been one of my favorite subscription services out there. I was been subscribed to them for almost one year now and each month I usually get pretty good products. Birchbox is a beauty subscription that only costs $10 a month and each month you will get a box filled with some amazing products. Today we will be having a look at what's inside my March 2016 box.

Each month the boxes are also decorated differently. It looks like the theme this month is pastel colors. This really screams Spring to me and I love the gold accents on this box. The color scheme is super pretty.

 

Here is a list of all the products I will be getting this month. I try each month to avoid looking at the card, because I love being surprised with my box....so let's ignore this for now lol.

 

The first item in my box this month is by Wilma Schumann which is brand I have never heard of before to be honest with you. This is a European skin care company. This product is a hydrating collagen eye pad. I have never tried a product like this before and I'm actually quite excited to try these out. This product claims to hydrate the skin around your eyes, and also pump the skin up as well to give you a bright and youthful look. This isn't a product I would ever buy myself so it's nice to see this inside my box. I will definitely be trying this product out asap.

 

The next product is by one of my favorite brands and that is Smashbox. I have tried a lot of products by the brand. A lot of which have come from my previous BirchBoxes in the past. I usually am a huge fan of all of their products. This is one of their new products which is their photo finish primer oil. I am beyond obsessed with primer. The fact that this one is an oil gets me immediately excited because I feel like this is going to be super hydrating for my dry skin, which will be great for me. This product seems like another hit with me.

 

The next thing included in my box this month is by the brand L'eau de Mare, this is a brand I have never heard of before. This is a hydrating shampoo. I must admit getting one of these in my boxes is something I am not really a huge fan of. I am kind of picky when it comes to my shampoo and conditioner. I have certain products that I use because I know what works best in my hair. I will however be trying this. It will come in handy for travel, and for a sample size this is a pretty good size compared to a foil packet which I hate!

 

Next we have something totally upsetting lol. We have the matching conditioner which is in a foil packet. I use way more conditioner then I do shampoo so I'm not even sure I will be able to get one full use out of this product. I will give this product a shot though. Who knows maybe this will be the best hair product I have ever tried.

 

Up next we have a product by the Balm, which is another one of my favorite brands too. I have discovered them from BirchBox as well and I love all of their lip products. The product that was included in my box this month is called stainiac, which is a lip stain. I love lip stains in gernal. I'm just going to assume that I will love this product. When I swatched this product on my hand it wasn't that dark, which is a good thing. I think this color will be buildable which is nice if you don't want to have a bold lip you will still be able to wear this product.

 

The last product that was included in my box this month is by the brand Living Proof. I would say I'm pretty familiar with this brand. I have tried a few products by them and I believe I have liked most of them. This product is called fresh cut split end mender. This definitely sounds like a product I will be using sense I have so many dead ends. I am always about  trying out new products so this product is a hit for me. This is product I would totally buy myself so I really hope this product ends up working out for me.

 

That's it for this months BirchBox. I have to say this was a pretty good box this month. I think the only product I am really not that happy with would have to be the conditioner in the foil packet. Other then that all the products seem pretty great and they are all something I would totally use which is great.

Pure Romance By Ashley Latenser! Review

 

Hi Everyone! Today's review is all going to be about a brand called Pure Romance, this is an independent consultant company. I will be representing Ashley Latenser, if you are interested in buying any of the products that I mention in today's blog all of her contact info will be at the bottom of this review. Ashley sent me a few different sample sizes of products to try and I am super excited to share them all with you. I want to make a note that this blog did take me some time to do just because I wanted to try out each product for you and give my honest opinion on them all.

 

The very first thing that was included in my package from Ashley was the most recent magazine with all the Pure Romance products. This is the Winter 2016 edition. I actually did sit down and look through this whole book and found a few things that really caught my eye, so who knows maybe there will be some more upcoming blog reviews for those products soon!

 

While browsing through this magazine I realized that Ash went ahead and included some fragrance samples which I wasn't excepting to see in the magazine. She included two of them. The First one is called Truly Sexy Flirt.

 

The description of this fragrance is:

"The senses with a bouquet of white roses and sheer jasmine, sparkling lemon and grapefruit, and clean amber and cedarwood."

 

I personally thought this smelt very nice. I really liked it. I thought it was a fresher scent and really like how it had a little fruity twist to it. I also really love the bottle of this fragrance it is gorgeous!

The next fragrance is the pure romance original called Truly Sexy

 

The description for this fragrance is:

"Feminine and bold, one spritz of Truly Sexy will boost your confidence and turn heads. This signature fragrance from Pure Romance Founder and Chairwoman, Patty Brisben, is all you need to feel Truly Sexy."

 

This one wasn't my favorite. This isn't something I would typically wear. I didn't think it smelt terrible or anything it just wasn't my type of style for fragrance. I did really like the bottle of this one I think it looks very different, and I love the pops of pink of the bottle too!

As you can see she sent me so many goodies to try out so now you all know why this blog took me  while to post, because I had to try out all of these products for you guys. I must say she did an amazing job at selecting these products for me. All of the products she sent me was something I wanted to try anyways or something I could definitely  see myself buying in the future if I did like the sample size of it. She sent me such an amazing variety of products as well which was awesome. I am so excited to share these products with you so lets get on with the blog!

 

 

The very first product that we are going to get a closer look at is called Just like me which is a gel lubricant. This is pH balanced product which is awesome for us ladies. Most lubricant aren't like this one. Being pH balanced is really helpful at keeping us clean and balanced which is really important.

This lubricant also isn't sticky at all. I know that is super hard to find as well. It really feels almost like water which is awesome because you don't feel gross and sticky afterwards. I really enjoyed this product.

Next we have  product called Sensations. This is a warming lubricant. I have tried a few of these in the past and have had really bad luck with them and usually steer away from them I don't like the way they make you feel. But for the sake of this blog I decided to try this product out for you guys. I received this product in the scent Strawberries and Whipped cream. This product comes in a few different scents and I'm glad I got this one. It smells sooo good, good enough you could eat which I really wouldn't recommend lol. This product was pretty good to be honest I liked the hot sensation it wasn't over powering which was something I was a little nervous about.

Next we have Boost which is a flavored enhancement cream. I wasn't exactly sure how to use this product to be honest with you. I just used the sample on my hands because I liked the smell of this and wasn't sure what to do with it. I can tell you that this smelt amazing however! I received this sample in the scent Strawberry, and it smelt like the real deal!

Up next is the product I was the most excited to try out and it's called Coochy. This is a conditioning shave cream. I was really excited to see she sent me this one, because I have heard some awesome things about this product through a few of my friends. I have really sensitive skin and I feel like I'm always prone to get razor bumps so I'm constantly on the hunt for shaving products like this. I was so surprised with how amazing this product worked. It didn't irate my skin at all which was really shocking, and it even make me super soft as well. It even had an amazing scent to it. This is a miracle product and I would highly recommend trying this one out.

The last product I have to review for all of you is called Body Dew, which is a oil body mist. It kind of weird how they make this in a sample considering the real deal comes with a sprayer lol. Anyways I tried this after I got out of the shower to moisturize my legs, and oooh girl! It made me quite soft. I have very dry skin so it's hard to find products that actually moisturize me but this one passed the test with flying colors. I was highly impressed to be quite honest. A little really goes a long way. I didn't even use the whole package and was able to moisturize my legs and arms. It got a bit messy which is probably why this comes in a spray bottle. I can just imagine how much easier that makes this process. I really did enjoy this product however!

Golden Canyon By Susan J. O'Connell! Review!

 

Today I have a review on a company that I am not that familiar with. I am reviewing some products from the company called the Gold Canyon. This is an independent consultant company and today I will be representing Susan J. O'Connell. For this review I was sent two different products to try out. Both of the products that were sent to me are sample size, which are perfect for me to share with you and try out for myself and give you my honest opinion. I was sent a candle to try out and a cleaning product.

 

 

The first product that was sent to me was just a sample size of  candle. This is actually a full sized product but I was just sent the tail end of it try out. The scent of this candle is called Autumn Walk this scent is described as the following : " Enchanting. Fragrant. Musky. Notes of Jasmine, Musk & Sandalwood". I have to say just by hearing the name of this scent I didn't think I would be a fan of it to be honest with you. I do have to say I was completely wrong. I think this scent is amazing and super relaxing. I think this is a perfect "home-y" scent for your home. I am so glad that this was the scent that was sent to me I am a huge fan of this. All of the candles on this website are sold in three different sizes, so you have some options when choosing which size is best for you and for your needs. This is the biggest one you can get.

I cant believe for the price how much product you actually get! This candle says it can burn for up to 200 hours! That is incredible and a very long time. I have to say just the little amount of candle that was left lasted me quite some time. I was amazed at how well this candle burned. I thought the scent was super powerful and lasted for a very long time. To be 100% honest with you all, I usually go to Bath and Body Works and buy all of their candles because I love their candles because they are the most powerful that I have found anywhere....until now. This is the strongest candle I have ever tried before. This instantly filled my house with this amazing scent. I relieved so many compliments when I used this in my home as well, which was awesome! Who doesn't love hearing that their home smells amazing? Lol that's probably the best compliment you can get when you have guests over. I can promise you, that you will not find a candle this powerful, this big, and this cheap anywhere else. I highly recommend checking these out for yourself!

 

 

The next product I have to review for all of you is something a little bit different. I received a sample size of one of their all purpose cleaners. First I must start off by saying how adorable is this sample?! Lol I think its so cute and adorable! The point of this product is to use it to clean pretty much anywhere, which is amazing. It is packed with essential oils that provide antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral properties. This product is safe to use pretty much anywhere you can think of. I used this in my car to clean my dash boards and over small crevices and I have to say this did an amazing job. I was impressed with how well it cleaned. I was also impressed with the scent alone! This has hints of Rosemary, Peppermint, Eucalyptus & Spearmint. I'm sure you can imagine how amazing this smells. It just is the perfect scent for a cleaning product. It smells clean and super refreshing which is awesome. I plan on keeping this in my car and using this all the time. This product is really amazing!

Esalon.com Review!

 

I was given a really awesome opportunity to review some products from an online shop by the name of Esalon.com. I was given a credit to use in their shop, which was awesome. I was able to pick out products that I would actually use. Just by browsing their online store I was impressed with how many products they have. They really do have a product for every type of hair, which is awesome to see such a huge assortment. They also offer a subscription service where you can receive up to three different products a month. I am very interested in trying that out for sure.

 

I also would like to make a side note and let you all know that I decided to post this blog, a lot later then intended. I wanted to try both of these products out for a while, so I could give you a full review on both of them.

 

 

The first product I received from Esalon is called "Perfect Ending" which is a leave in conditioner. I decided to try this out just because my hair is super dry, and I thought this would help with that. I have seen all kinds of leave in conditioners at the drug store and pretty much all over, and have been super curious to try them. When I seen this in the shop I thought now was the perfect opportunity. I do have to say I have used the product quite a lot, it's actually almost gone now which is super upsetting. I thought this product was amazing. It did a good job at moisturizing my hair, and also making it smell soo good. The scent of this product reminded me a lot of Tresemme. I loved the scent, it smelt super clean and refreshing.

I deiced to include a picture of the label just so you can see the ingredients and other information of this product that you might be interested in knowing. The instructions are pretty simple for this product. You wash your hair, and then towel dry it so it's still a little wet but not sopping wet. Then you apply a nickel size amount and apply that to your hair. It says avoid putting it on your roots. I think that's because it may make your hair look a little more greasy. Sense I am not good at reading instrutions I didn't see that little part until after I applied the product.....to my roots lol. I do have to say it didn't really make my roots feel greasy or anything, so if you end up accidentally putting it on your roots then don't worry lol. I have to say I am pretty much in love with this product and would love to get some more of this!

 

Next up we have "Straight to the heart" which is a straightening hair mist. To be completely and 100% honest with you I originally thought this product was just a heat protectant spray, but nope I was wrong lol. This product is to help with reducing frizz when blow drying your hair. I did however use the products both ways though just to see if they would work like that. The first way I used the product was the way you are suppose to use it, by simply spraying this into your damp hair and then blow drying it. I have to say I did a get a new blow dyer for Christmas and I used this product and I was pretty in love with how straight and frizz free my hair was. Then I decided to use this product the incorrect way. I sprayed this in my dry hair right before I straightened it. I do have to say I am not sure how much protection this would have for your hair, but I did like this product that was as well.

I have to say for my final opinion on this company I am super impressed. Both of the products that I tried out are probably some of the best hair care products I have used in my hair. I am super curious to try some more of these products and I really hope to work with this company again in the future.
