Coastal scents! Review

 

For today's review I will be reviewing some makeup products from the brand Coastal Scents. I have heard some amazing things about this brand before, but I haven't had the chance of getting around to trying out any of their products before. The people over at Coastal Scents were super generous and let me pick out some products I wanted to try out and review for all of you today. I am super excited to share all these products with you.

 

I will be reviewing the following products for you all today:

2 eye shadow palettes

1 eyebrow palette

2 lipsticks

& 1 lip-gloss

 

Lets get on to the review!

 

For the first product I will be reviewing today I will start with the jumbo eye shadow palettes. When I think of Coastal Scents this is the first product that jumps into my head. These products have everyone talking and it made me curious to try one of these out for myself. One their site they have so many to choose from so it was a little hard in making my decision. I decided to go with the original 88 color palette. They also offer this same palette in a shimmer palette too. I decided this one would be the best for me and I am so glad that I picked this one. As you can see this palette contains ever color of the rainbow. This is a palette that would be perfect for anyone just because look how many colors are on this palette. If crazy colors isn't your thing you can always just use the more neutral colors which are also included on this palette as well. I think by using this palette the number of eye looks you can achieve are endless. I am so excited to experiment more with these.

 

This palette is amazing quality and super sturdy as well which is somrthng I was a little worried about. On the lid of this palette there is mirror, this is really helpful for when your on the go. That will be one less thing you will need to remember to bring. On each side of the palette there are those little sponge makeup brushes. I am not entirely a fan of these types of brushes so I will not be using these, but that's okay! If I ever lost my brushes it's nice to know that I would have some backup!

Here is a swatch I decided to include of some of the colors in this palette. I didn't swatch all of them (obviously) because then we would be here for ever lol. I swatched some colors that I know I would use the most. These are truly gorgeous shades this is just from applying it to my finger then rubbing it across my arm. As you can see these colors are super pigmented. A lot of these colors seem like they would be really buildable which is also really great as well. I am so excited to play around with this palette.

There are 12 different eye shadow shades in this palette. Pink is my favorite color so I'm constantly wearing it so I am totally in love with this palette. I think they did an amazing job at picking out the shades for this one. You can create so many different looks with this palette. I also love how some of the shades are shimmer, and some are matte at well. As you can see you get pretty much every shade of pink you can think of, from dark pinks to light pinks. You also get white, grey and black too which helps to making these pink shades stand out. You can have a very dramatic eye look with these shades or you can create a simple look too which is perfect. I have already used this shade twice, and both of my looks were so different.

 

 

The next item I have next is called Brow set which is a brow palette

Inside this palette it comes with 4 different eyebrow shades, along with a mirror and a dual ended brush. The eye colors in this palette are pretty versatile as well. I think the shades in this palette pretty much anyone can use these. I don't think if anyone else is like me but sometimes I like wearing darker eyebrows and other days I like having them lighter. I have blonde hair so I think I could either way with my eyebrows. I love playing around with makeup and this is going to be the perfect palette to do so.

 

 

 Here is a swatch of three of the colors, and this is just with one swipe as well. These are easily buildable as well, if you are trying to achieve more dramatic brows then this is for you, and if you want more natural brows this is for you as well.

 

I think my most favorite thing about this palette has to be the brush that is included. Most of them time when I purchase any type of palette I usually just end up tossing the brush but that isn't the case with this one. The brush include is an angled brush, which is what I use for my brows anyways. I actually lost my regular eyebrow brush the other day and ended up using this brush instead and I thought it was amazing. It totally did a great job, and now I might just end up using this as my regular brush because it's going to be a little more difficult in loosing and I love how it has a place inside this palette.

 

 

 

The next few products I will be sharing with you all are lip products, which are my favorite as far as makeup products go!

As you can see this color is a darker purple color. These are my favorite shades to wear I think it goes good with my skin tone and my eye color as well. I just love the pop of color you can create with wearing a shade like this one. I have to say the packaging for these lipsticks are pretty on point lol. I love the shininess of each one, they are truly gorgeous.

 

 

 

Up next we have another lipstick, this one is just in a different shade. This one is in the color 02

This shade is totally different then the previous one that I shared with you all. This one is a mauve pink color which is perfect for spring. This color can go with pretty much anything which is really great when pairing your looks with all your outfits. I think my favorite thing about these lipsticks are the fact that they don't have a point to them. Most lipsticks are cut on an angle which I hate because it makes it a lot more difficult to apply in my opinion. The way these are I think makes them really easy to use. They almost make me think of lip balm just a lot more pigmented.

 

 

Here are the swatches of both the colors I received. As you can see both of these colors are extremely pigmented. I also found that both colors are extremely buildable especially the lighter shade. I have to say this is probably one of the best lipstick lines I have tried. I am amazed with the color payoff and I love how these make my lips feel. They are super hydrating and make your lips feel great instead of dying them out, like a lot of lipsticks are notorious for doing. I just can't get over how inexpensive these are.

 

 

The last product I have to share with you all is a lip gloss. There lip glosses go by the name of Smacks. These come in a wide range of color so it was extremely hard to pick out the perfect color for myself sense I loved pretty much the entire line of these lol.

I decided to go with the color "Sweet Anna" which is the ultimate pink color. I have been looking everywhere for a color like this because I am in love with it. I think this color is great for so many looks and it compliments so many eye colors too. I think this is the perfect girly pink color and I am pretty obsessed with this gloss that's for sure. It has been my go to gloss sense I received this in the mail.

 

 

I have never tried any of these glosses so I was just going to assume that this was going to just have a little light pink hint of color to it. To my surprise I am so wrong! These are so pigmented, it almost reminds me of a liquid lipstick, or a lip stain. I was so shocked to see the color pay off of this product. The swatch down below is just with one swipe of the applicator. This color is extremely buildable and if you are trying to achieve a more dramatic effect, this is perfect for you. If you don't really care for wearing lip sticks, and love the look of them. Then this is also the perfect product for you. I am so beyond impressed with this lip-gloss. I will definitely be checking these out in the future.

 

 

That's it for this review! As you can see there are so many amazing products from this brand it's crazy. This isn't even all of them. They even have a lot of other  products such as concealer, foundation, brushes, blush, eye liner, and even soap! This brand is probably one of my favorites now. I am impressed with everything that I received and I highly recommend checking their site out and trying some of these things. I'm telling you, you will be in love with all of them and there is no doubt in my mind.

Ipsy Review!

I have a little delayed of a blog post for you all today. I will be doing a full review on my monthly subscription service of Ipsy. This is the subscription service from February. I thought better late then never right? For those of you asking what the heck a Ipsy is I will explain. This is a subscription service that is based around your beauty needs! when you sign up you take a little quiz that asks you all kinds of beauty questions about your self, such as your eye and hair color and what kind of products you use. This little quiz makes sure to ensure you get products that would more then likely want to try out. I think its awesome on how accurate this quiz is with your box each month. I don't think I have ever received a product that I was unhappy with.

 

 

Firstly all the subscription products are sent monthly in cute makeup bags each month. I am in love with this months! It looks like an adorable love letter :) I have to say this makeup bag is pretty nice and feels really sturdy as well which Is awesome as well !

 

 

This months theme is Pretty in #ipsypink I love the name of this theme! Each month inside your bag you are sent a little card with the theme and on the other side it lists all the products in your box. I however discard this because I like being surprised.

 

 

The first product is by SmashBox which is one my favorite brands. This is one of their newer products which is called Photo finish primer oil. I have to say I really love how much product is included in this sample, you can easily try this out quite a few times. You only need a little tiny bit when you use this product each time anyways. I am obsessed with trying out new primers and the fact that this one is an oil just is so much more inviting lol. I love how different this product is. I am super excited to try this one out!

 

 

A eye makeup brush is next. You can never have to many makeup brushes in my opinion. I use so many its probably not even funny lol. I love how this one is pink of course. This would be perfect for a lot of different areas around your eyes. I love how soft this brush is as well. Another thing I really like is how the hair bristles are white on the top, call my weird but this makes it so much better in telling when your makeup brushes are clean and when they are dirty lol.

 

The next product that is included is by the brand Chella. I have never heard of this brand before. This is lip pencil in the color passionate pink. I have to say I am in love with this color and I think it's perfect for wearing with pretty much any outfit. I tried this right away and I can honestly say I never typically go for products like this, but this one I really love. I cant wait to wear this with a few different looks. I will be sure to use this quite a bunch.

 

 

Next we have a product by the name Naked. I have tried so many products by this brand before and I love them all! This is one of their loose pigment eye shadows. Ipsy nailed it with this color. I loveeeee it and its totally something that I would normally go for!

 

The last product that was included in my ipsy bag is this hydrating cream by the brand carrot and rose. This is a brand I have never heard of before and I am super excited in trying this out. I think this has several uses. I have super dry skin so this will be a perfect product for me! I plan on trying this out as a facial cream.

 

 

As you can see this Ipsy bag was packed with amazing products. Most of these would be products that I would buy by myself anyways! I can't believe that their subscription bags are only $10 a month. It's such a steal because you get so many amazing products and you really truly get your moneys worth with this subscription service. I am so hooked on this company and highly recommend getting  one for yourself!

Tombox Subscription Box Review!

 

 

Today I have another subscription box for you to review. This one is another one I have never heard of before I did this review. I love the whole concept behind this subscription box. This is a box that is delivered once and month, and it is packed with pretty much anything you could need during your time of the month, such as tampons, pads, jewelry, makeup, and of course chocolate! lol I love the whole idea behind this box. The box I received just didn't contain any pads or tampons. The price of these boxes start at $10 which is super reasonable. So lets get into this review and see what was sent to me!

 

The first makeup product that was sent to me was this mascara which is by the brand of Measurable Difference. This is a brand I never heard of before, but I'm always up for trying out new makeup, especially new makeup brands because you never know! In my opinion you cant really ever go wrong with a mascara so this will definitely be used at some point lol. 

 

Inside the small velvet pouch was my first jewelry item. First let me just say I love how this came in a little pouch, this make it easy to carry and not loose them, especially if your anything like me and just happen to lucky enough to always loose one earring lol. When I first got a glance at this earrings I thought they were just normal everyday studs, which I was excited about because you literally can never have enough of them lol.

 

I was wrong however, these are dangle type earrings. I do have to say I don't have a pair of earrings like these and I really like them. I think they are super pretty and could be worn with practically any outfit. I do have to say I wore these after reviewing this box and I loved them. They are super light weight and I really just like how they looked on me. I think these are simple, but yet really elegant as well.

 

The next item is another jewelry item and this one is actually a bracelet. instantly I was in love with this as soon as I seen it. The color scheme was definitely something that I could wear with a lot of my wardrobe. I love how all these bracelets have different beads and are very unique. I do have to say, doesn't this just like a stack of bangles? 

 

WRONG! this is just one bracelet! How cool is that!? I have seen this before and once again I don't have anything like this either. I think this is perfect because its so easy to take on and off, and usually this is the kind of jewelry I wear, a lot of different bangles, and this just makes it 100 times easier. Anything that helps me save some time in the morning is something that I am a big fan of  lol.

 

You cant be on your lady time and not have chocolate! Lol I do have to say I am not a fan of chocolate at all, and the only time that I can tolerate it, is when I am on my time of the month. I do have to say these are one of the very few chocolate candies that I will even eat.  These are just dark chocolate snow caps, and I am super excited to eat these lol.

 

The suspense is killing me of what is inside this adorable small box that says Beautiful on it, so lets take a peek inside and see what is hiding!

 

 

Oh wow look at all these products that were inside! I am super shocked to be honest with you that all of these could fit into this box! Lets get a closer look at each one!

 

The first product is a clear coat nail polish which is by the brand Color Club. I have to say this is probably one of my all time favorite nail polish brands. I don't actually think I have  clear coat by them yet which is really surprisingly actually lol. I do have to say I will get a lot of use out of this because clear is pretty much the only color I ever use, just because I go to the nail salon so much, but in between trips I apply clear nail polish and it makes them much more shiny and makes them look a little better. I am super excited about this product.

 

An exfoliating facial cleanser is up next. This is by the brand Vasanti which is brand I don't think I have ever heard of. Im always looking for new facial scrubs so I'm sure I will really like this one. This is enriched with papaya, so I had to take a little sniff. I do have to say this product smells really good, which is rare to me lol. Usually when I find a good facial scrub this scent is usually awful lol, so I'm super happy about this!

 

 

The next product is a shadow and liner stick which in the color silver. I haven't really decided if I will be keeping this or not which is why I didn't take the packaging off. Silver isn't typically a color I would go for, but that's okay! I always swap makeup with my friends, and I'm sure I could find someone who would use this more then I would. This is by the brand Palladio which is actually a brand that I own a lot of products from. I know for a fact this is an awesome product.

 

 

The next two products are lip products which are my favorite lol. This is just a lip crayon by the brand Lord & Berry which is brand I never have heard of before. I love the color of this product is a beautiful mauve pink. This is the type of color I usually go for so I know for a fact I will get a lot of use out if which is super exciting!

 

Alright the time has come and we are at the last product that was in my TomBox! This is a lip-gloss which is by the brand of IrisColors. This is another brand I have never heard of before. I do have to say I am  huge fan of lip-glosses and you cant really ever go wrong with them lol. In the tube this looks like a red color, but once you apply it its much more clear then it is red. This lip-gloss is super wearable. I was a little ehhh when I seen it was red, but I am so glad I tried it out and seen that it was actually clear!

 

 

I am in love with the subscription box. I think this is a very genius idea. I am beyond impressed with the amount of products that I got, and I love the variety of them all as well. I think you get such an amazing value for the little amount of money that you would be spending of this box. I definitely think you should check them out for yourself and get your very own subscription!

Younique! Review!

Today I have a very exciting review for all of you today. I have some products from a brand I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about and that is called Younique. I have heard some amazing things about this brand so I was super excited that I was given this opportunity to try some of these products out! She sent me so many products to try out! I am so excited to get into this review for all of you. As you can see all of these products come all boxed up so you don't have to worry about anything breaking or spilling when these products are shipped to you.

 

The first product I have up for review is the Moodstruck Precision Brow Gel, this is product I was actually really wanting to try just because I am always using something new and I still haven't found the best product for my brows in my opinion.

The color that she sent me was in Medium. This color was perfect for me, it wasn't too dark and it wasn't too light. I'm never sure on what color to fill my brows on with because I am a blonde. I have only ever used darker colors. So I am super excited that she sent me to color medium. I do like this color the best for my brows! As you can see this product has a small wand used to apply the product on your brows. I would say this brush is super similar to a mascara wand. I was super impressed with using this product. I thought it did an amazing job and filling in my brows. I think it gave the perfect coverage and wasn't too much product, so it gave them a natural look to them. I would have to say for the price I think this is a pretty good deal, you don't really use a lot of product when using these for your brows, so I can see this product lasting a really long time.

 

 

The product that I have next to review is one of the Lucrative Lip Glosses, the one that she sent me is in the color Lovesick.

I do have to say just based on the packaging I am instantly loving this product. I love how the packaging is so sleek and has a super nice look to it. On the back of the gloss there was a mirror attached to the back of it which is perfect! This is great to throw into your purse and not worry about putting in a mirror as well. I think that is a genius idea. I think this was a pretty good product. I didn't have a smell which was good. It didn't smell amazing which was bummer, but it wasn't terrible either which is good too lol. I also really liked the texture of this gloss. I have tried a lot through out my time, and I have tried a lot similar to this one. I thought this was going to be super sticky, and almost kind of tacky feeling but I was wrong. This was perfect in my opinion, it was nice and soft on my lips! I think this is a good gloss for pairing it with any lipstick color, or even just wearing it alone. I think for the money this is product you could use a few different ways.

 

Here is a swatch I used to show you the color of the product. In the bottle this color looked like it would be more of an orangey pink color. But it really isn't, this product is more on the pink side and that pretty much it. You cant really tell in this photo but this has a lot of sparkle and shine to it which makes it super inviting for me lol. I think this would be the perfect gloss to apply over any lipstick color that you might already be wearing at the time. There isn't too much color, so it will be perfect to pair with any look that you might be trying to achieve.

 

 

The next product is one of their Mood Struck precision pencil lip liners. The color of the one that she sent me to try out is called Posh.

I haven't had a lot of experience with lip liners but I'm all about trying new things! I have been told that you can use lip liner just as a lipstick and it will be almost like the same thing like wearing lipstick normally. So that is how I chose to try this one out. I applied this all over my lips and instantly was impressed with how this product looked on my lips. I think it gave a pretty nice look to my lips and it was also pretty matte too, which I know is pretty hot right now when it comes to different lip looks. I can see this being used a lot of different ways too. I think this is great lip color alone. This would also make a good look with just using this to line your lips. I'm excited to experiment with this product a little more :)

 

 

As you can see from this swatch this color is gorgeous! It's a dark pink, almost a deep red color. I think this is the best color that they carry in this product and I'm super glad that she chose this one for me.

 

 

 

Lipstick is up next! Out of all the products that are listed on this website. This is one of the ones that was up there on my list of wanting to try out really badly lol. I am super grateful that she was able to send me one of these as well. This specific lipstick is called Moodstruck Opulence Lipstick and the color that I received is called Ritzy!

At first glance I am in love with this color. I used this product out a few times after receiving this package. I do have to say the few times that I did use this product I received a lot of compliments on my lip color. I think this color is perfect for me and my skin tone. I thought this product was really hydrating for my lips which I thought to be a little odd. I have never had a lipstick that felt this smooth and didn't dry out my lips in the process. So that was definitely a win for me lol. I think this product again could be warn a lot of ways, with out without liner, and with or without gloss too!

 

 

I am a huge hoarder of lipsticks and I can honestly say I don't have a color quite like this one. It's super light pink color. I do have to say this lipstick is super pigmented. This swatch is just one light layer of the product. This is product you could also build up if you were trying to achieve  darker look. Or with just one layer this is a super natural looking color.

 

 

The last product I have to review from Younique is one of their cream eye shadows. I do have to be honest with you when I say this. I have tried cream shadows before and they have never been my favorite. But I am very open to trying new products so maybe this will be a hit for me this time!

I do have to say that they are totally killing it with the packages for these products. As you can see this comes in a really nice jar. This is actually a glass jar, and I love the frosty effect it has on the glass. This has a really nice look to it.

 

The color that Amanda sent me is called Noble which is a purple color. I am a huge fan of this color in general and I have to say that I don't have any shadows in this color at all. I do have to say with the touch this product is really soft. I was expecting it to feel almost wet. It's kind of hard to explain how this product feels but I will try so  bare with me lol. This is super soft and when I placed it on my eye lids it felt like a powder. I really wasn't expecting that with this product. I love the feel of this product. I love how different this really is. I think out of all the products that were sent to me this one is by far my favorite, which is super surprising lol. This stayed in place when I used it and it didn't crease at all, which is the problem I sometimes have with shadows in general.

 

 

Here is a swatch of this shadow. As you can see from this picture the color of this product is more of greyish purple, which is prefect. I was nervous about this being just straight up purple, and then that way I wouldn't be able to wear it as much. This color is super wearable and could be used a few different ways as well!

 

 

I would have say all of these products I tried I really like!
