ThimblePress Review!

Hi Everyone! Today I will be taking a closer look at some products from an online store called Thimble Press. I am truly blessed to have found this shop while browsing online. I am in love with so many products that are for sale on this site. They have such a wide range of products too which is pretty cool. They have products such as greeting cards, notebooks, calendars, wall décor, tote bags and so many other fun and cute things! I am really excited to get into the review. They sent me a wide range of products and I am pretty excited to share them all with you all.

I figured I would start this blog post off with a bang by reviewing the biggest item first. This is one of their tote bags that they have listed on their site. They have a few other designed listed on the website too. The design that I received is this adorable pattern with red lips. This image is printed right on to the bag, and I can tell that is was done really nicely. The image feels really secured to the bag which I know a lot of you probably have some concerns about. I love how durable this bag feels too. I must admit that this is probably one of the most sturdy bags that I own.

Retails:($22.00)

Online it says that the fabric used to make this tote is a durable cotton cloth material. In my opinion this feels a lot like canvas. So you can just imagine how thick the bag really is. The measurements for this tote bag is 20″ x 15″. I think my favorite part about this bag in general is that it is machine washable which is extremely helpful. It's hard to find bags that are in fact machine washable and this is nice! It also says online that you must only wash these totes in cold water. If you do decide to purchase one of these adorable totes for yourself make sure you follow those instructions because I a sure that will help keep the life of your bag a little longer :)

I didn't think it was too necessary for me to share this piece with you but I decided to share it anyways because of how adorable it is. This is the note that was inside my package from Thimble Press and I have to say it's way to adorable not to share with you guys.

At this time I do want to thank everyone at Thimble Press for sending me these items to review for the blog! I love everything so far including the little note that was inside. I plan on using this somewhere in my room, I love the small pop of pink color in this picture.

The next two items we will be looking at are adorable greeting cards. Each card is indivually wrapped and has its own matching envelope which is nice as well, these are on the smaller size so finding an envelope for these would probably be a huge pain, so  have no worries because it was all done for you :)

Retails:($5.00)

On the site this card is called "Florida orange blossom gold foil card". The design for this card is gorgeous as you can tell it is all white with gold foil detailing. The actual design is pretty creative. It is the shape of the state of Florida and inside the state is the state flower for Florida which is the orange blossom. I thought this was pretty appropriate considering I live in Florida.  I think that the gold details on the front looks really nice against the white card. I think it's a little on the plain side which is really nice too.

The next card we will be taking a look at has "Best Day Ever" printed on the front of it. This card is a lot different from the previous one that I shared with you all. This is more on the colorful side and I really like it. This card also comes with an envelope too. I really like how you can buy these card by themselves or if you really like a design of one you can purchase a box of 8 of them.

Retails:($4.50)

I think my favorite part about both of these cards is that the inside of each of them is blank. So you can really use both of these cards for any occasion which is cool. The fact that there is no writing in the inside also gives you the opportunity to write a longer message which is really cool too. I write pretty big so it's always hard for me to write inside cards because I always end up running out of room. I wont have to worry about that with these.

The last thing that we will be looking at is called "The original push-pop confetti". This is such a cute product and I have seen nothing quite like this before. Pretty much what this product does is once you push the top up all the confetti inside will pop out and fly around everywhere. I love the one that I received all the confetti at the top of pop is super colorful and really bright. This would be a great product for all kinds of celebrations. I think this is such a cute idea and I am sure they are a lot of fun to use. They have so many different types of these listed on their site as well, even some for a gender reveal party! That would be so adorable!

Retails:($9.00)

Overall I am impressed with the online store. All of their products are adorable and really well made. I can't pick a favorite item because I loved all the ones I received. If your looking for anything that falls into the category of adorable stuff lol. I suggest checking them out! All the products I received are really well made too which is also really important. I think this is a site you could spend hours on looking at all of their products. I am amazed with how much is really listed on this site too!

Coastal scents! Review

For today's review I will be reviewing some makeup products from the brand Coastal Scents. I have heard some amazing things about this brand before, but I haven't had the chance of getting around to trying out any of their products before. The people over at Coastal Scents were super generous and let me pick out some products I wanted to try out and review for all of you today. I am super excited to share all these products with you.

I will be reviewing the following products for you all today:
2 eye shadow palettes
1 eyebrow palette
2 lipsticks
& 1 lip-gloss

Lets get on to the review!

For the first product I will be reviewing today I will start with the jumbo eye shadow palettes. When I think of Coastal Scents this is the first product that jumps into my head. These products have everyone talking and it made me curious to try one of these out for myself. One their site they have so many to choose from so it was a little hard in making my decision. I decided to go with the original 88 color palette. They also offer this same palette in a shimmer palette too. I decided this one would be the best for me and I am so glad that I picked this one. As you can see this palette contains ever color of the rainbow. This is a palette that would be perfect for anyone just because look how many colors are on this palette. If crazy colors isn't your thing you can always just use the more neutral colors which are also included on this palette as well. I think by using this palette the number of eye looks you can achieve are endless. I am so excited to experiment more with these.

This palette is amazing quality and super sturdy as well which is somrthng I was a little worried about. On the lid of this palette there is mirror, this is really helpful for when your on the go. That will be one less thing you will need to remember to bring. On each side of the palette there are those little sponge makeup brushes. I am not entirely a fan of these types of brushes so I will not be using these, but that's okay! If I ever lost my brushes it's nice to know that I would have some backup!

Retails:($14.95)

Here is a swatch I decided to include of some of the colors in this palette. I didn't swatch all of them (obviously) because then we would be here for ever lol. I swatched some colors that I know I would use the most. These are truly gorgeous shades this is just from applying it to my finger then rubbing it across my arm. As you can see these colors are super pigmented. A lot of these colors seem like they would be really buildable which is also really great as well. I am so excited to play around with this palette.

The next palette that I received from costal scents is the Think Pink palette
Retails:($12.95)

There are 12 different eye shadow shades in this palette. Pink is my favorite color so I'm constantly wearing it so I am totally in love with this palette. I think they did an amazing job at picking out the shades for this one. You can create so many different looks with this palette. I also love how some of the shades are shimmer, and some are matte at well. As you can see you get pretty much every shade of pink you can think of, from dark pinks to light pinks. You also get white, grey and black too which helps to making these pink shades stand out. You can have a very dramatic eye look with these shades or you can create a simple look too which is perfect. I have already used this shade twice, and both of my looks were so different.

The next item I have next is called Brow set which is a brow palette
Retails:($8.95)

Inside this palette it comes with 4 different eyebrow shades, along with a mirror and a dual ended brush. The eye colors in this palette are pretty versatile as well. I think the shades in this palette pretty much anyone can use these. I don't think if anyone else is like me but sometimes I like wearing darker eyebrows and other days I like having them lighter. I have blonde hair so I think I could either way with my eyebrows. I love playing around with makeup and this is going to be the perfect palette to do so.

Here is a swatch of three of the colors, and this is just with one swipe as well. These are easily buildable as well, if you are trying to achieve more dramatic brows then this is for you, and if you want more natural brows this is for you as well.

I think my most favorite thing about this palette has to be the brush that is included. Most of them time when I purchase any type of palette I usually just end up tossing the brush but that isn't the case with this one. The brush include is an angled brush, which is what I use for my brows anyways. I actually lost my regular eyebrow brush the other day and ended up using this brush instead and I thought it was amazing. It totally did a great job, and now I might just end up using this as my regular brush because it's going to be a little more difficult in loosing and I love how it has a place inside this palette.

The next few products I will be sharing with you all are lip products, which are my favorite as far as makeup products go!

I received a lipstick from the line in the color 08

Retails:($3.95)

As you can see this color is a darker purple color. These are my favorite shades to wear I think it goes good with my skin tone and my eye color as well. I just love the pop of color you can create with wearing a shade like this one. I have to say the packaging for these lipsticks are pretty on point lol. I love the shininess of each one, they are truly gorgeous.

Up next we have another lipstick, this one is just in a different shade. This one is in the color 02

Retails:($3.95)

This shade is totally different then the previous one that I shared with you all. This one is a mauve pink color which is perfect for spring. This color can go with pretty much anything which is really great when pairing your looks with all your outfits. I think my favorite thing about these lipsticks are the fact that they don't have a point to them. Most lipsticks are cut on an angle which I hate because it makes it a lot more difficult to apply in my opinion. The way these are I think makes them really easy to use. They almost make me think of lip balm just a lot more pigmented.

Here are the swatches of both the colors I received. As you can see both of these colors are extremely pigmented. I also found that both colors are extremely buildable especially the lighter shade. I have to say this is probably one of the best lipstick lines I have tried. I am amazed with the color payoff and I love how these make my lips feel. They are super hydrating and make your lips feel great instead of dying them out, like a lot of lipsticks are notorious for doing. I just can't get over how inexpensive these are.

The last product I have to share with you all is a lip gloss. There lip glosses go by the name of Smacks. These come in a wide range of color so it was extremely hard to pick out the perfect color for myself sense I loved pretty much the entire line of these lol.

Retails:(3.95)

I decided to go with the color "Sweet Anna" which is the ultimate pink color. I have been looking everywhere for a color like this because I am in love with it. I think this color is great for so many looks and it compliments so many eye colors too. I think this is the perfect girly pink color and I am pretty obsessed with this gloss that's for sure. It has been my go to gloss sense I received this in the mail.

I have never tried any of these glosses so I was just going to assume that this was going to just have a little light pink hint of color to it. To my surprise I am so wrong! These are so pigmented, it almost reminds me of a liquid lipstick, or a lip stain. I was so shocked to see the color pay off of this product. The swatch down below is just with one swipe of the applicator. This color is extremely buildable and if you are trying to achieve a more dramatic effect, this is perfect for you. If you don't really care for wearing lip sticks, and love the look of them. Then this is also the perfect product for you. I am so beyond impressed with this lip-gloss. I will definitely be checking these out in the future.

That's it for this review! As you can see there are so many amazing products from this brand it's crazy. This isn't even all of them. They even have a lot of other  products such as concealer, foundation, brushes, blush, eye liner, and even soap! This brand is probably one of my favorites now. I am impressed with everything that I received and I highly recommend checking their site out and trying some of these things. I'm telling you, you will be in love with all of them and there is no doubt in my mind.

GimmeThatThing on Etsy! Interview :)

Amanda Robins.

Manchester, UK.

Gimme That Thing.

When I started selling my jewelry at artisan markets the expression on women and girls' faces seemed to say "Gimme that thing!" There was a very catchy song around in the 1970s that had 'Gimme that thing' as its hook line and  that's how my shop name came about.

I joined Etsy in 2010 but I didn't have the confidence to actually list my items there until the following year.
I'd been selling on a British site called Folksy for a year before opening an Etsy shop. I'd heard great things about it from other sellers and I just thought what have I got to lose - either it works for me or it doesn't and there's only one way to find out. I really wanted to start selling globally and Etsy was the obvious choice for reaching an international market.

Jewelry making started as a hobby when I broke my back falling off my horse six years ago. I'd been a ceramicist until then but the big bags of clay were now too heavy for me to lift. My young daughter was playing around making beaded bracelets on threads and we started looking at gemstones together and online technique tutorials for wire wrapped rings and then friends started buying my designs.

My jewelry business is very much a part time job. Because there are so many wonderful handmade jewelry businesses out there it is very difficult to be full time. I'm also a dance fitness instructor and training to be a yoga teacher.

I sell wire wrapped gemstone rings and earrings, retro 1950s style earrings, boho verdigris patina chunky cuff bracelets and earrings.

My favourite item is a boho patina brass cuff bracelet that reminds me of the power cuffs that the character Wonder Woman wears. I kept the first one that I ever made and it gets a lot of attention when I wear it.
Metal Wrist Cuff Bracelet Turquoise Black Patina Fashion Jewelry
I've been accepted to open a shop with the new Handmade at Amazon as soon as it is up and running. This is a very exciting opportunity for me and I'll be adding some new designs such as quirky cuff links for men.
I do stock a few bricks and mortar shops in UK. I'd like to stock a few more in the future and also sell online in a wholesale capacity.

I want my future customers to know that when they purchase my products they are buying quality items that are all handmade by me. I don't outsource my work and because of this I'm able to ensure that each item is to the best standard. I also offer an excellent customer service and am always happy to have a dialogue with my customers and for them to get to know me and build up a relationship based on trust. I think this is very important for small businesses. The large companies that we all know and purchase from can't offer this kind of one-to-one service in such depth.

My favorite item that is listed in this shop are these earrings.
They are beautiful, I just love these. They really make me think of Barbie, there really girly, which
I really like!

"These rose pink claw set heart earrings are a very feminine classic design that is a lovely piece of fashion jewelry for any occasion.

The rose pink claw set heart in these elegant retro earrings have a vintage look and measure 13 x 11 mm. They are encased in antiqued brass claw settings and hang from handmade brass ear wires which are nickel free / lead free and suitable for sensitive skin.

Overall length from top of earwires 25 mm."

SimplyOli on Etsy! Interview :)

Name: Olivia Reiman

Location: Tampa, FL

Age: 25

Name of shop: SimplyOli

How'd you come up with the name of your shop: I wanted something simple and easy to remember. That's when SimplyOli ended up popping in my head.

How long has your shop been open: My shop has been open since early February of this year.

What gave you the idea about opening an etsy shop: I have a daughter that is almost 2 now and really wanted to be able to make a living from home. I started working with metal stamping and ideas just kept coming which snowballed into all the the products you see today. Being a product photographer, it was kind of a dream come true being able to create these pieces and photograph them myself! As I started creating more and more items I really wanted a way to get them out there to a broad spectrum of people.

Is this a hobby of your or do you do this full time?: It's not full time quite yet but it has definitely exceeded hobby level for me. Between having the shop online and attending markets/comic conventions it definitely feels more like a part time job and I love every minute of it!

What kind of items do you sell in your shop: I sell handcrafted land, sea, stone, oddity, and pop culture themed jewelry and keychains. All of my pop culture pieces are made from spoons. The other categories range from incorporating up cycled spoons, vials, and metal framework, while other are just resin based. So definitely a mix of different items.

Your favorite item that you sell: My favorites are probably the 3D pop culture pendants because they're so eye catching. The pictures just don't do them justice!
Retails:($18.00)

Something you want to happen to your shop in the future: I would definitely love to get more people to the shop and set up at more markets and conventions and really turn what I love doing into my full time job.

Do you have any plans for your shop products in the future: Oh definitely! I'm always looking to try new things and improve what I already make. I just got some new tools so hopefully here in the next month or two I'll have a new line of products available!

If so what: I'm working on making some spoon handle rings with a SimplyOli twist along with some other things.

What is something you want your future customers to know about your shop: I do custom orders! Not only for pop culture spoon pendants but I have also done custom orders similar to current items on the shop (I've done a wedding spoon pendant with flowers from the brides bouquet and lace from her dress). So if you have an idea just contact me! Also that you can find me on facebook.com/shopsimplyoli and on Instagram @shopsimplyoli

My favorite item for sale in this shop has got to be this 3D Ariel Pendent. This is absolutely beautiful and Ariel is my all time favorite :) I love how this is made on a spoon, it's so cool!

DreamWeavingWarrior on Etsy!

I received a beautiful dream catcher from shop by the name of DreamWeavingWarrior on Etsy!

I've always wanted a dream catcher ever sense I was a little kid, but I never got one. The reason being I could never find one that I actually wanted, and would go with the décor to my room. When I first seen this one I couldn't believe it. I've never ever found a pink dream catcher before, and this one is so pretty. You can see all the details she included in this, like the little beads that are spread through out the dream catcher. I am in love with this and all of the other ones listed in her shop are super pretty as well!

I highly suggest checking her shop out if your looking for a dream catcher she makes really pretty and inexpensive ones that are super unique and one of a kind!
Retails:($15.00)

The first bow is a super pretty mint floral pattern. I love this bow and all its colors that are in it, this bow will go with a bunch of different outfits.
Retails:($4.00)

The next bow I received is called the "Lea" bow, which is probably my favorite one. This bow is so cute and adorable. It's a pink bow with white polka dots.

My favorite things about these bows is the clip on the back!
These are the best clips, and they are really stuck onto the back of the bow really well.
Both of these bows are super durable adorable! In this shop they have so many to choose from and there all cute! I can't wait to wear these!
