Canvas Champ Review!

Canvaschamp

For today's review I have something a little different for you all. I will be reviewing a canvas. I got a piece of art made for my boyfriend and I. I have been looking to get it blown up some way but didn't know how I would want it printed. I then discovered Canvas Champ, and thought they would be perfect for achieving this job for me.

First I will talk about this art for a minute. Sense I am a huge Disney nut I had a picture made that represents my boyfriend and I from The Little Mermaid's kiss the girl scene. This is my favorite Disney movie and favorite scene actually. I am quite impressed with how this piece of art turned out

Now let's get back into the whole reason why we are here today and that is because we are discussing the this canvas in which I got my image printed on. There are about a million ways I could have gotten this image printed fro Canvas Champ. They really do offer so many unique ways to print your images for you. I decided to go with a canvas, just because I have always wanted to get something printed on a canvas and I love the look of it. I think they always looks so nice, and it's something different to look at rather then just a plain framed picture on the wall.

I love this canvas because it is thick in size. I wasn't expecting this canvas to be this thick. I know sometimes on website or even places where you can go to get things printed such as Walgreens, they offer canvas's and they are always the thin kind. These just never look good in my opinion. I love the look of a thicker canvas because I think it looks more sturdy which is important. I have only had this canvas for a few days now and I can already tell that this is something that is going to last me for quite some time.

Another thing that really makes this canvas stand out from all the other is the texture of it. Most canvas's have a very thin layer on the canvas material and that's the only thing holding up the entire piece. That isn't the case with these canvases. This feels like it a board, with canvas material on top of it to give it the same texture as a normal canvas. This is perfect for a few reasons. The most important reason you don't have to worry about this getting damaged as much. I know one of my biggest concerns with getting a canvas was going to be that the layer on top was thin so I was worried if I ever had it off of my wall I would be able to poke a hole in it. I don't think this canvas is capable of getting any type of hole in it. It's super sturdy which is amazing!

The hardware is also included on the back of each canvas which is extremely helpful as well. I am always the worst with hanging pictures and attaching the hardware because I am always nervous I am going to mess something up lol. I can say this is awesome that they do this step for you, it really makes hanging this 10 time easier, especially if you are terrible at it like me lol.

I am 150% impressed with this canvas from Canvas Champ. I am so glad I discovered this website for my own. They make some amazing pieces, and I don't think I could have found a better quality canvas then this one. I highly recommend checking them out if you need anything printed. They have the best customer service, they have super fast shipping times, and they have high quality products! What else could you ask for? not much because they truly have it all!

TangledRibbons On Folksy! Interview :)

Tangled Ribbons

Name: Jennie

Location: Suffolk, England

Age: 23

Name of shop: Tangled Ribbons

How'd you come up with the name of your shop: I used to write poetry as a teenager (I know, I know) and one line that I actually liked was something about 'tangled ribbons in windswept hair', so it comes from that.

How long has your shop been open: Oh, about 3 or so years, I think!

What gave you the idea about opening a Folksy shop: Well after I left college I wasn't planning to do art at university and so I wanted an outlet for my creativity, as well as making a little bit of money as well. I found Folksy as the UK version of Etsy and thought I'd give it a try.

Is this a hobby of your or do you do this full time?: A hobby at the moment, although I'd love for it to be full time in the future!

What kind of items do you sell in your shop: Mostly prints and hand painted cards, notebooks and wooden boxes.

Your favorite item that you sell: It has to be the penguin pattern screen print, I get really happy every time someone buys one.
Retails:($15.00)

Something you want to happen to your shop in the future: I'd like to have more of a connection between myself and my customers, which I'm definitely trying to forge on my facebook page and my blog whenever I have a moment.

Do you have any plans for your shop products in the future: Always! I have whole notebooks full of ideas.

If so what: I want to do more screen prints (I have a mountain range one in the works), more paintings and I have so many ideas for Christmas decorations this year it's silly, so watch out for those!

What is something you want your future customers to know about your shop: Everything in my shop is something that I genuinely loved creating, a lot of care has gone into each item, whether it's as small as a keyring or as big as a canvas. And if you have any queries, don't hesitate to ask! I do commissions as well, so if you have an idea then let me know and I'm sure we can work something out! :)

My favorite item in this shop has got to be This Miniature Vincent Van Gogh Painting. This is one of my favorite paintings of all time and I love how this one is a mini version of it, its really adorable and I really like it :)
Retails:($4.50)

RonohDesigns on Etsy!

I received a very awesome art print from RonohDesigns on Etsy!

She sent me a very unique print of Ariel!
This print is made entirely of words! I was amazed when I first seen this, just because I've never seen anything like this before.

When I was first browsing her store I didn't really take the time to look at the actual words that were made up of this print. When this print arrived I took a closer look and discovered that this print is made entirely of the lyrics to the song Part Of Your World, which just happens to be my favorite song from the movie. I took the time to look at a few others and they are all the same way, each print is made from song lyrics from the actual movie, which is pretty cool.

She even framed this just for me which is great! I love the black frame it definitely is super bold and make the other colors pop.

I included a few pictures so you can get a closer look on how this actually looks!

Retails:($6.00)

The only con I can possibly think of for this product would have to be that for the skin color of Ariel it is a bit light, and maybe a darker color of paper would have fixed this problem. It's not a huge deal though, its still really cool and I love it!

make sure you check her shop out for other cool art prints :)

HouseOfLongFellow on Etsy!

I received a beautiful print from a shop by the name of HouseOfLongFellow on Etsy

This shop has so many beautiful prints to choose from, I had an extremely hard time choosing my favorite. I ended up choosing a Dr Suess one, which is adorable. I think this is the cutest print ever. It's pretty hard to find Dr Seuss prints actually and I love how this shop had this one. Its really nice quality and was printed on nice paper. This print will fit perfectly in a 8x10 frame. This print is so colorful and pretty and makes me think of my childhood, I just love this print :)
Retails:($12.50)
I love how they included this note about the print so you can know more about it, and what size frame to get. I'm planing on going to get a frame this weekend so I can hang this up in my bedroom

I suggest checking this shop out they have a large selection of prints, I'm almost certain you will find one that you love :)
