StarSeventeenStudio- Donut String Art Review

This is probably the coolest piece of art I have yet to receive and share with you all here on my blog. This piece is from an Etsy shop called StarSeventeenStudio This shop immediately caught my eye when I was browsing my favorite place (Etsy of course). This shop owner is super talented and makes pieces of art that I have never seen anything like before. She creates these art pieces made entirely out of string. I have no idea how she even does it but I am truly blown away. I looked through her shop several times and I love how much of a variety that she has. She really has something for everyone which is really neat. When we chatted about me reviewing something for my blog. She told me she wanted to do something custom just for me which got me extremely excited. I mean honestly I would have been happy with any of the pieces that she sent to me that are posted in her shop but she went that extra mile and truly wanted to make me happy and make me something that she hasn't made for anyone else yet which is pretty freaking awesome. When she told me she wanted to make me something custom I had soooooo many ideas flowing through my brain. Then it finally came to me. I just moved in my own place this past April and my theme for my kitchen currently is donuts(don't judge). I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get a decor peice for my kitchen. You actually wouldn't believe how hard it is to find donut stuff. I left it at that. I didnt tell her anything else just that I wanted something donuts. Boy oh boy did she really blow me away....

Lets start with the packaging of my donut art. When I received this in my mail to be honest I didn't even know it was this! The package was sooo big and so heavy I really didn't expect that to be inside of it. She took her time wrapping this bad boy up pretty damn good. There was literally no way that this thang could have broke in the  mail and she made sure that was not an option lol When I opened it for the first time it did take a little bit of time because there was sooo many layers of bubble wrap lol. I was actually really impressed with how well this was packaged and wasn't expecting it to be this well protected.

When I seen this for the first time I was so impressed. My first impression was "OH MY GOD!, HOW DID SHE EVEN DO THIS???". I have yet to ask her btw lol. Anyways I was super blown away with the end result she did an over the top and beautiful job. This seriously looks like something you would pay top dollar for at a home decor shop.  I seriously love the design that she made for me too. I think it matches beautifully with my kitchen decor too! I am obsessed with this by far. I placed it on my kitchen counter and I have  received so many compliments on it so far. 

The quality of this piece is outstanding as well. I could sit her all day and tell you how beautiful it looks. But whats also is important is the quality. If your paying for something you want it to hold up. I have no doubt in my mind that this product wont hold up for me. It is made out of really thick wood thats very heavy and the nails are placed in super deep so I dont have to worry about them coming out or anything like that for sure. I am super pleased with this product and I know for a fact I'm going to have this for a long time!

I have nothing negative to say about this shop at all. I am pleased with how everything came out. The product is beautiful, and durable. The shop owner was also a pleasure to work with. She is extremley nice and I am so glad I got to work  with her.

Branch Out! Review

 

I'm coming out you guys with another Esty review today. This review will be on the shop called Branch out. This is a store that makes all kinds of hand carved spoons out of wood. This shop is truly one of a kind. I was browsing their site and found several products that were just beautiful. I highly suggest going to have a look at this online store and having a peek for yourself.

 

 

These are the spoons that were sent to me to review as you can see these came in a pair. I love these spoons because they are so small. These are made from seasoned ash which is just mind blowing. I can't believe it. You would really never guess that all upon seeing these. I must say these are the perfect size for practically anything. The main use for these according to their website is for spices which is the perfect size for that. In my opinion these have so many more uses then just that. I actually placed one of these in a jar of sugar scrub I currently have in my bathroom and this was perfect because I didn't have a scoop for it, and now I do! I also placed my other spoon in my sugar jar and got rid of my older one I originally had. I love the way these feel in your hands. It's the perfect size to hold on to. I also love how soft these are, you can see how well made these are just by how they feel in your palm. I am truly amazed with the amount of time that was put into these spoons. I think a reason why these feel so soft is because the two layers of olive oil that was added to them once they were finished being made.

The dimensions of these spoons are:

"The overall length of the spoon is 52 mm.
The bowl has a width 30 mm while length is 30 mm.
The handle is 25 mm long"

 

On there website they also listed the care instructions which are:

"Rub your spoon with olive oil, peanut or sunflower oil once a month. Dip a paper towel into the oil and gently rub, using a circular motion over the surface of the wood. Work the oil into the sides, top and bottom. When washing the spoon use water and a little bit of soap ( dont use the dishwasher ) and after the washing is done rub the spoon with a towel to avoid moisture entering the wood and avoid cracking."

 

Overall I'm impressed with these. I didn't think I would love these as much as I really do. I can only imagine how amazing some of their bigger spoons are. I am highly satisfied with these spoons, they are beautiful and are so multipurpose. I suggest checking these out for yourself.

Hatchery Subscription Box! Review

 

I have yet again another subscription review for all of you today. The one I will be reviewing for you all is called Hatchery. This is a food related box. Each month you get a box filled with ingredients you can use to cook with. All of which are super unique and pretty one of a kind. Each box comes with a guide on the all the ingredients that includes info such as who made the item, where it was made, and what's in it. I forgot to add that each item in this box was made by different people or brands that your not going to find in your local super market, which is why Hatchery is so unique.

 

This is the box that contains all the awesome food! You guys have no idea how excited I am to get into this box and try some of these things out!

 

First thing I see on top of my box is this Hand written letter from Jackie who works for Hatchery. I love getting hand written notes in my products I receive for reviews it makes me feel fancy lol. Don't judge me I know it's a little weird. Underneath the note is the Tasting guide I was telling you all about a little earlier in this blog post. Inside this you will find a list of everything that you will find inside your box along with the description of each product so your not clueless if you have no idea what something is.

 

Underneath the tasting guide I can see all of the products that inside this box. It looks like there is going to be 5 things in this box. Everything in this box is individually wrapped it is own paper. All of the items are then placed in shredded up pieces of paper to add for extra safety when it's being shipped to your door. I must say everything arrived in perfect condition, so that isn't something you will need to worry about when ordering your own box :)

 

The very first item that is in my box is by American Juice Company. This is an all natural craft cocktail blend. Right away just by reading what this product is I can tell this is going to be something that I will like. I love the packaging for this juice, how it's in a glass jar too! This is a 2oz sample size.

 

Now I will get into a small description of the item for those of you how are a bit confused to what this exactly is. This is their juice that's called Ginger Gershwin. It says that you can mix this with a lot of different things or you can just drink it alone. The flavors that are in this juice are citrus and ginger, so there is going to be a little bit of a kick to it. The samples of what it would go great with are cocktails, popsicles, smoothies and tea. This is an all natural product and gluten free too!

 

 

Next up we have a salad dressing from Balsamo's kitchen. I am a huge fan of salad dressings, and I am always trying some new ones too! I think this is going to be a hit with me! This is also a 2 oz sample size.

 

 

This is called their 7 salad dressing. The base of this dressing is canola oil. It also contains garlic, turmeric, and paprika. You can use them several ways as well such as with salads, chicken, pizza and pasta. I have to say I couldn't help myself and I had to try this one right away. It tasted so great, it really reminded me a lot of Italian dressing but so much better. I am definitely going to be using the rest of this dressing!

 

The next product we have that's in this box is by Savour this Kitchen. This is a little different from the last two that are in this box. This is a spice blend. They call this nomad spice blend. This is an all natural, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free blend which is awesome too! There are several ways you can use this product such as on pork, chicken, lamb and potatoes.

 

 

Next we have an item from Jammy Yummy. This is their red pepper jam. This sounds a little different from the traditional sweet jam that I have been used to my whole life. I am pretty excited to try this out sense it's so different. This is a really thick jam made with bell peppers and a little bit of sugar for some added sweetness. This goes great with chicken, sandwiches, salads and cheese. This is also all natural, gluten free, vegan and a vegetarian product.

 

The last item that's in my box is by Soft Peaks Confection and this is their Chai Spice Dulce. So this is more like a sweeter item and could be used as a desert. This is sweetened with condensed milk heavy whipping cream to give it it's thick consistency. This would go great with cakes, cookies or fruit. This is a vegetarian product as well.

 

That's it for this box! As you can see there was so much packed into this box I am highly impressed! I love how all the products in here are so different and not like your normal everyday grocery finds. This is great for people who have strict diets such as gluten free or vegans. Most of these products that were in my box cater to those types of people with that as their diets.  I must say I am so excited to experiment with all of these food items and try some new things! I think this is such a great idea for a subscription box and think it's definitely worth checking out, just to even try. I can assure you that you will love this box!

KristenMarieFurr On Etsy! Holiday Gift Guide Review!

I received this one of a king cutting board from a shop by the name of  KristenMarieFurr 

She made this custom one of a kind cutting board just for me and I am crazy about it. This is probably one off the most exciting things I have reviewed here on my blog. I think it's beyond perfect and more then I could ever want honestly. This is your basic cutting board but she put her on twist on it and made it beautiful :) She used vinyl decals to decorate this. I told her I like Disney and she came up with this design all by herself, and I'm pretty obsessed with it lol. If you look at it from a distant it really looks like this design is engraved in the glass which is pretty cool how it isn't.

As far as the design goes she placed a Minnie Mouse decal in the right hand corner. I love this and her little bow is adorable. We discussed what color we should do and she suggested red, and I think that was the perfect choice. I know on camera this looks pink, but it really is red. It adds a really nice pop of color to this cutting board sense all of the other decals are black.

In the center of the cutting board there is a massive decal that represents Cinderella's castle. I am in love! This is such a great decal and I love how she placed in the center, it's really the perfect size for this cutting board.

In the right hand corner she placed a basic Mickey Mouse decal. I love how she placed the Mickey and Minnie decal at an angle.

As you can tell from the picture this cutting board is not just a flat glass surface. It has some texture to it, which makes this a really great cutting board, it wont leave scratches on the glass surface and it will also cut meat really nice as well, which is really nice as well.

The corners have these slip resent feet on them, so it wont slide off your counter top. It has really good grip to them, which is what I was worried about, but not anymore :)

The size of this cutting board is 12 inches by 15 inches, so this is a pretty large cutting board.

Overall I'd say I'm highly impressed with this product, not only is this a great quality cutting board, its customized and just for me! it's perfect. I can't believe she sells these for only $20 such a steal, and you really can't find prices like this is any store, let alone something that is customized.

This shop owner is truly a delight! She is super friendly and really creative. She can do pretty much anything and will work with you to make you happy!

These would make a great gift for someone who loves to cook, or someone who just moved into a new place. The possibilities are endless with these and you can get them customized for any kitchen!

I highly recommend checking out this shop you will not be disappointed and I truly mean it!

OtterLab on Etsy!

I received a very cool item to review from a shop on etsy by the name of OtterLab 

 

This item is a little outside my theme for this blog but I was super excited to give it a try. 

 

 

They sent me this cool device that you use to hold all your mason jars!

Its a really cool and unique item that I've never seen before. All you do is hang the piece up and slide your Mason  Jars right in. At first I was very special about how this would even work, but to my surprise its actually does a really good job at it!

Before receiving this I was thinking about what exactly I wanted to use it for and I couldn't decide because I knew that there could be so many uses for this. For example this would be perfect in any garage or workshop, for all small pieces like nuts, bolts and screws. This would be perfect in the bathroom to hold small items like cotton balls, Q-tips ect. It would also be perfect in a kitchen to hang up any mason jar cups that you have. This is how I plan on using this, I'm going to attach it to the underside of my kitchen cabinets. I do have to admit after receiving this item it has made me go Mason Jar crazy lol I was to get a bunch more to fill up my racks lol.

Overall I'm impressed by the quality of these cookie cutter. Most of the cookie cutter that I own or have owned in the past are super flimsy, these are not at all! They are super hard and durable. I can't wait until I get to use them! They have a huge variety in there shop, I'm sure you will find something that you will love as well!
